G.O.O.D. Music's CyHi the Prynce is an emcee to be reckoned with. In a previous interview with HNHH CyHi spoke of being underrated saying that "it's cool for" for him "because it lets me know people still respect what I have to say."
Since his recent album drop of No Dope On Sundays, his underrated status may now be revoked since the 15-track album boasts not only some of the hottest collaborations but also some deep-rooted meanings that have a purpose of getting men to "understand spirituality."
In his latest interview with HNHH, CyHi credits Kanye West for helping him bring the project together when he only had six songs. Speaking specifically to the record "Dat Side" he says "the album is a story about a week" of his life so he needed a record that doesn't represent the "relaxing shit," but rather a track that appeals to the turn-up at the club after you deal with the aggressive bullshit when working the block.
"So that's what "Dat Side" is, it's the part of the story where that's the part we go to a club and we got our little money," he says in the video.
When it comes to picking his favourite feature on the tape, it's a hard for CyHi to choose given the number of heavy hitter hip-hop stars such as ScHool Boy Q, BJ The Chicago Kid and Travis Scott. When he finally settles on his answer, he says Pusha T is his favourite guest.
"I use to be a big Clipse fan. Lord Willin', I knew every rap from Lord Willin', the first song to the last song. By him being on my project is super dope," he says. CyHi also bigs up BJ The Chicago Kid saying their track "80s baby" is a "dope concept" that will "go long beyond hip-hop" and will change a lot of lives.
