Kamaiyah drops a video for one of her standout tracks, the catchy "Playa In Me."

Oakland's own Kamaiyah has been killing it this year, with an appearance in XXL's 2017 Freshman Class. Not only that, but the rapper recently delivered a brand new mixtape called Before I Wake, which is promised to be the first of two new projects dropping before year's end. One of Before I Wake's most accessible cuts was the infectious "Playa In Me," so it's no wonder the bouncy jam scored the video treatment. Directed by Evan Croker, the colorful clip finds Kamaiyah bathed in purple light, posted by a sleek Mercedes Benz while smoke lingers in the air.

Conceptually, the video is as simple as they come, giving most of the focus to Kamaiyah's respectable presence. You won't exactly marvel at the creativity here, but it's a solid placeholder visual for the young rapper, especially if there's even more music in the pipeline. If you were feeling Before I Wake, be sure to check out "Playa In Me," and support Oakland's next up.
