In collaboration with top producer Mike WiLL Made-It and rapper YG, adidas today introduces an original track, “Heart of A Lion,” that was inspired by Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller’s heartbeat during training.
The new track, designed to be the ultimate pre-game anthem, brings the consumer insights and design details behind adidas Athletics’ new Z.N.E. Pulse apparel collection to life and will be available prior to Von’s first game of the 2017 NFL regular season on Soundcloud and adidas.com.
As Von gears up for the first official game of the season, when the Denver Broncos take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, September 11th on Monday Night Football, the track represents the rising heartbeat of athletes prior to the start of the game. The theme of the all-new collection focuses on the ‘pulse moment,’ the moment right before athletes step onto the field, a moment when their heart rate peaks in anticipation.
Per Adidas,
“I’ve always been a fan of adidas and how they create, and they’ve been a fan of my work, so we came together with Von Miller to create something,” said Mike WiLL Made-It. “It’s really all about Von Miller working out - they recorded his heartbeat and asked if we could do something with that… so I took the approach of finding a tempo from his BPM and built from there. Finding something new and fresh and different, like I always do when I go in the studio and work.”
The adidas Athletics Z.N.E. Pulse Collection, from $110 to $200, is available globally on adidas.com and in select retailers. Check out the track, "Heart of A Lion," below.
As mentioned, Von Miller and the Denver Broncos will play host to the Los Angeles Chargers in the second game of ESPN's Monday Night Football doubleheader on September 11th. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 10:20pm ET and will air on ESPN as well as the WatchESPN app.
Heading into the season, the Denver Broncos are projected to be a middle of the road team, with Las Vegas sportsbooks listing their 2017 win total at eight games.
