Post Malone's "I Fall Apart" gets a new lease on life.

Post Malone's sudden rise to the forefront of hip-hop music has been sudden, but by no means a fluke. Bursting onto the scene with his track "White Iverson," his first full-length release, Stoney, has become a prominent collection of songs in the firmament of rap culture, with singles like "Congratulations" and "Big Lie" helping to solidify him as one of the hottest names in the game. Now, he'll be digging back into his previous discography for his next official, which will reportedly be "I Fall Apart," an emotional, vocally powerful track. The odd thing is that, nearly a year after its initial inclusion on Stoney, the song is only now surging in popularity thanks to a viral video.

As per Genius write-up from last week, the tune saw a nearly 1,000 percent increase in lyric searches online after a live performance of the song, posted to Twitter by a concertgoer, went viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of retweets after the fact. In the video, Posty once again flexes the singing chops that have earned him rave reviews as a live act. In fact, he's known to cover grunge and punk rock songs during his performances as well, with his influences ranging from Nirvana to Green Day. You can check out his mesmerizing rendition of "I Fall Apart" below.

Now, there's a report circulating that Republic Records will be pushing the song as their next official single from the rapper, after seeing it trend high on the iTunes US song chart and is about to get some fresh legs on rhythmic radio as well, with adds of the single expected to happen for the week of October 17th. It's also entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 65, which is the third-highest entry point for a Malone track so far in his career. This, combined with the ongoing dominance of "Rockstar," means that Posty has taken his game to a whole new level as he continues to ascend in the music industry as an artist to be reckoned with.
