T-Pain's making his way back to the forefront of music. The "rapper ternt sanga" took some time off from the music game but has been slowly making his way back in it this year. He's delivered a slew of singles in anticipation of his upcoming OBLiViON. With the album set to be released in the coming weeks, he delivers yet another track off the project with "Textin' My Ex" featuring Tiffany Evans.
T-Pain's latest single, "Textin' My Ex," is a slower pace in comparison to the other singles he's done so far. However, it has a tinge of that old T-Pain sound from back in the day. It's a croony new single with T-Pain's voice dazzled by auto-tune, as to be expected. T-Pain delivers a relatable track for the tech-savvy generation. With the addition of Tiffany Evans, Pain's able to the perspective of both genders. The production is smooth and deep but the vocal talent from both Pain and Evans is what stands out the most on it. Pain has an ability to take a simple topic and bring it to another level with his songwriting and this song is another prime example of his talent in that.
Pain's upcoming album is due out next week on November 17th. He's already shared a slew of new singles off the project, all of which have some sort of collaborator on. Blac Youngsta assisted Pain on "Goal Line," while Young M.A. came through on "F.B.G.M." It also serves as his first studio album in six years, following 2011's Revolver.
Pain recently wrapped up a full acoustic tour in promotion of the project. The tour only consisted of a handful of dates, all of which were sold out. Pain took his NPR Tiny Desk performance on the road to perform stripped down versions of some of his classic singles. Hopefully, we here more organic sounds on OBLiViON.

Understand what you tweetin' out
Hope that I'm the man that you speakin' 'bout
But you didn't let me
Hope my new girl don't catch me textin' my ex
