Chance The Rapper held his weekly Open Mic night in Chicago on Monday, where he encourages local teenagers to get off the streets & onto the stage to showcase their talents in front of their peers. Having teased the show as “a very special one” Monday afternoon, boy did Chance deliver on his word. The Chicago rapper brought out surprise guests Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Butler, and even the cast of BET's New Edition series to speak to the crowd.
It’s unsure how Chance was able to entice Dave to come to a small high school in Chicago to perform & encourage the youth, but as Complex pointed out, it probably started with their original meeting at Barack Obama’s farewell party a couple weeks back.
Peep some of the fan-captured footage of the evening (below), and photos in the gallery. We'll keep you posted if any further footage of Dave's performance surfaces.
