Sexyy Red wanted to clarify some things.

Sexyy Red has been one of the biggest names in rap over the last few months or so. In fact, one could make the argument that she is the rap MVP in 2023. Overall, she has made some huge moves and continues to be a massive draw. For instance, she became the opener for Drake's tour. Furthermore, she sold out her own tour, which she is currently on right now. Pair that with her project Hood Hottest Princess, and you have yourself a real recipe for success.

So far, a lot of clips have gone viral as it pertains to this tour. From security throwing people off stage to Sexyy Red getting mad at unenthusiastic fans, a lot has gone down. Regardless, it has still proven to be one huge party. Sexyy is an artist that people want to see, and she knows how to get them excited. However, in a new clip from her tour, she opted to give fans an explanation to a frequently asked question. Of course, that question is why she spells her name with two Ys.

Sexyy Red Corrects The Record

Well, as it turns out, the answer to that question is actually quite simple. “Y’all dead wrong for that one. Y’all, it’s spelled with two Ys because I’m extra sexy. If y’all put one Y, I don’t know who that b*tch is,” she said. Basically, Sexyy Red is committing Marketing 101. She wants to differentiate herself and the spelling of her name is a major part of that. Ultimately, it is a piece of branding that has worked out extremely well for her.

Hopefully, her latest tour continues to be a massive success. It's been fun to watch her rise, and we cannot wait to see what she does next.
