Tuesday, November 13th, was the eight-year anniversary of the death of Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard.
ODB passed away from a drug overdose at the age of 35, but is remembered fondly by his Wu-Tang affiliates to this day. Raekwon and Ghostface Killah spoke on Ol' Dirty Bastard, in remembrance of his life, to TMZ.
"Today I just want to have a day of prayer to let my brother know I am thinking about him," Raekwon said, "This still hits me real hard." The Chef added, "I will mourn over him today and think about how much he taught me."
Ghostface says he just celebrates the good times he had with ODB, "I never dwell on the day we lost him, I just celebrate the times I had with him."
"I pray and thank God on this day because he is my angel ... I spent the day just sitting quietly and praying. Dirt wouldnt want us mourning so I don't."
Ghostface continued, , "I still hear his voice daily ... whether it's his music or memories of things he taught me."
R.I.P. Ol' Dirty Bastard.
