Kodak Black won’t let up, and in that same spirit, he decided to drop off four new tracks Saturday evening just because. The first of which arrived in the form of “Roll N Peace 2,” a follow-up to his XXXTENTACION collaboration “Roll in Peace,” found on Project Baby 2 as Kodak waxed about his personal life over Lil Jon’s original “Lovers and Friends” track. The second cut in the cycle arrives as “Right Now,” a song in which Kodak takes over the beat that originally accompanied King Louie ‘s track of the same name.
“Stop lyin' on ya dick/ If you hit her, then you hit,” he raps. “Stop lyin' on a bih / Everybody know ya snitched / Stop ridin' on my dick, why you worried 'bout me? / Pop one, pop two, pop three.”
In the midst of plenty of headlines and reported collaborations on the horizon, Kodak is currently dealing with yet another legal problem as he was recently indicted on charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct following the alleged assault of a young woman in November of 2016. According to the victim, the incident occurred at a Comfort Inn and Suites in Florence County in which Kodak reportedly forced the woman on the couch, “removed her underwear,” bit her breast and neck, and proceeded to engage in sexual intercourse with her. When she said, ‘no,” his alleged response was “I can’t help myself.”
While the investigation is ongoing, Kodak has been ordered to abstain all contact with the young woman and her family, and has been ordered not to discuss any details of the case with the public. No word yet on when this trial will begin. However, if convicted, the 20-year old rapper could face up to 30 years’ worth of prison time for such a crime.
