In wake of the tragic Las Vegas shooting that has left more than 58 dead and another 500+ people injured, Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak has set up a GoFundMe page in an effort to raise funds to assist the victims.
The GoFundMe page for the Las Vegas victims reads,
"We are raising funds to assist the victim's of the tragic Las Vegas shooting. I am at Clark County's only level-one trauma center with the victims and their families as we speak," Sisolak said.
"Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting."
As of this writing the Las Vegas Victims' Fund has raised nearly $675,000, including a $50,000 donation made by the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders were approved to move to Las Vegas last offseason and the team is expected to open up their new home in Vegas prior to the 2020 season.
The team released the following statement,
“The Raiders family is shocked and saddened by the tragedy in Las Vegas and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families and first responders. The heart of the Raider Nation goes out to Las Vegas.”
The horrific attack went down on Sunday night, when a gunman, identified as 64-year old Stephen Paddock, opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino on a crowd of concert goers just across the freeway from the site where the Raiders stadium is planned.
The Las Vegas attack is the deadliest mass shooting in United States history. See some ways you can help in the tweets below.
