By all accounts, Selena Gomez has had a successful summer music-wise, even if it has been decidedly less flashy than some of her music contemporaries. With songs like "Bad Liar" and "Fetish," the pop star has continued to present a maturing, polished sound to the world, evolving even more from the former Disney star that took the world by storm all those years ago. She's also been blossoming in her personal life, making her relationship with hip-hop crooner The Weeknd public this past spring when they walked the red carpet together at the Met Gala. However, life isn't always rosy for Gomez. According to TMZ, she was nearly given a very creepy gift from an obsessed fan.
Law enforcement has released details on an incident from last Friday, when a 24-year-old man showed up at Selena's San Fernando Valley home. He was apparently on his way to leave a bevy of gifts on her doorstep, which included an assortment of different goodies, flowers and even food items. The singer's security team intercepted the guy before he could get close to the house, which was a good thing, because the man in question was already on their radar as a potential threat to Gomez's well-being. Her security team told the man to scram, then called the police to report the incident. At this point, things took a very pervy turn.
It turns out that police had also received a call from a flower shop earlier that day, where an employee reported a man requesting a penis-shaped floral arrangement for Ms. Gomez. Thankfully, the employee in question sensed that this was a path that shouldn't be traveled down under any circumstances and promptly nixed the order and told the man to beat it as well. Police sources told TMZ that the flower shop description was indeed a match for the description put forth by Gomez's security detail later on in the day and the LAPD are supposedly looking into the matter now. Even though there's no way she would've been a fan of this fan's advances, here's a piece of advice for all the men out there: phallic-looking bouquet are a perfect example of what someone means when they say someone's coming on too strong.
