Bun B and Jamie Foxx will team up with "One Love Manchester" organizers for Houston telethon.

Houston, Texas has been flooded this past week due to the devastating Hurricane Harvey. Since the flooding began, people across the world have been helping raise funds for relief efforts. Notable Texas natives have also been doing all they can to help, spread awareness and donate to relief funds. TMZ has now reported that Bun B will be setting up a Houston telethon in September. He will be teaming up with the same people that put on Ariana Grande's "One Love Manchester" benefit concert.

Their source claims that the telethon is scheduled for September 12th and that they've gotten commitments from major television stations to air it during prime time. While nothing has been publicly confirmed yet by Bun B or the organizers, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram yesterday to say that he will be part of a telethon that will be going down on the same date. Foxx himself is a fellow Texan and has said he's already donated $25,000 to Global Giving relief funds.

"September 12th, we have a telethon we're doing. We’ll give you more details, where we can raise as much money as we can for everybody down there – Houston, Beaumont, all those different places. We’re here for you," Jamie said in his Instagram video.

Once everything is set in stone, we're sure that more information will be made available to the public.

The disaster that's happening in Houston right now has been leaving many people without homes. Bun B & Jamie Foxx are among many that have been putting their best foot forward to help in whatever manner possible. Fellow Houston rapper, Trae Tha Truth, was seen on FOX26 yesterday where he was on a boat helping residents evacuate flooding homes after he had to be rescued the day before.

Other celebrities like Kevin Hart are challenging others to donate large sums of money for the cause. He started the "Hurricane Harvey Relief Challenge" where he requested many of his wealthy celebrity friends to put money forth for relief funds. People that he called out were Jay-Z, Beyonce, Dave Chappelle and among others.
