Atlanta has dictated what's cool and not in hip hop for a long time. Without Atlanta, hip hop as a culture would have a huge void in it. Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy and T.I. played a pivotal role in opening the gates for younger artists to come into the game from their city. Each one of those artists have their own label and stacked rosters with incredible up-and-coming talent. A stand-out artist on T.I.'s Hustle Gang roster is Yung Booke, who's been putting in some heavy work over the past few years. Today, he releases his latest video "Rain."
Yung Booke's latest effort might be one of his best singles yet. It's an honest effort that pairs his honest lyrics and his penchant for melodies together. The song details the paranoia of being in the streets and the trust issues that come a long with it. While people act like they are your homie to your face, behind ones back is when true colors show. The video depicts the same thing. The visuals for "Rain" has Booke in the trap with his homies, counting money before someone he knows breaks into his house to rob him while he isn't home. It shows how the people closest to you are the first ones to snake you behind your back.
Along with the video for "Rain," Yung Booke also comes through with a behind the scenes of his last tour. It gives you a more detailed glimpse into the life and career of Booke. He also just took over T.I.'s Spotify playlist, The Drip, which features some of his current favorites, which include A$AP Mob, Lil Uzi Vert, Mozzy and of course, Hustle Gang.
