Check out Belly's new video for his project's title track "Mumble Rap."

After hitting us with the project Inzombia last November, Roc Nation artist Belly has been relatively quiet for the most part of the year. Back in April, XO affiliate kicked off the campaign for his forthcoming album by dropping off the title track “Glorious.” Since then, Belly has teamed up with production duo DVBSS for the single “You Found Me,” and then later showed us what the “Power Of Pussy” could do with some help from Black Chyna in the official video. But now after laying relatively low for the most part of the Summer, the XO artist decided to return in full effect Friday by releasing a new 11-song EP called Mumble Rap, executive produced by Boi-1da.

To coincide with its release, Belly decided to share a new video in its support for the title track “Mumble Rap.” Directed by Karena Evans, the video finds Belly and some wild taskforce crew looking to cause havoc in the streets equipped with bats and gas masks on, but they show off some choreographed dance moves instead. Featuring cameos from fellow XO members NAV and Derek Wise, the video was apparently inspired by the classic Timbaland/ Missy Elliott videos from the 90’s Belly says.

“This video was inspired by the Timbaland/Missy Elliott era of videos,” Belly said. “I wanted to give people a visual that was reminiscent of that.”

In addition to “Mumble Rap,” Belly also released the video for “Lullaby” as well, which you can check out for yourself (below).

It’s unclear if this “Mumble Rap” project is just a mixtape to hold us over while his album Glorious gets worked on or not, but we’ll definitely take it. Stream it here, and check out the video for its title track (above).

Mumble Rap available on iTunes.
