Birthdays were the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirsty.
A taste of both sides of that lyrical coin were visible on social media as fans everywhere paid tribute to Christopher Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G/Biggie Smalls, the famed rapper who would've turned 45 years old today. He was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997; he was 24 years old.
One of hip-hop's most lauded figures, Wallace became known not only for his smooth lyrical delivery but also his bankable but still honest persona that made him the centerpiece star of Diddy's Bad Boy Records. With a TV show that will delve into his unfortunate demise coming later this year, as well as a tiff over the impending dismantling of a Biggie mural in Brooklyn, tells us that his legacy isn't dying any time soon.
