"Super Sega" is on the way.

Denver’s own Pries is currently preppring for the drop of his forthcoming Super Sega project, due out for release on November 3rd. Previously, he previewed the new effort with singles “Andale” and Power Up,” both bouncy cuts that keep things in a common theme, and in following those up, he’s delivered on his latest outing “Game Over.”

A break from the regularly schedule program, “Game Over” maintains Pries’ fun sound while focusing on a more introspective subject matter in a relatively short 2:20 package. “Girl, I’ll admit that I got problems/I ain’t perfect,” he places over the beat, singing a different tune than the typical condoning of his reckless behavior. Here Pries still focuses on his lifestyle while taking stock of the repercussions, a nice take on the track that the young rapper describes as “hands down one of the best records I’ve ever made.”

The last album we got from Pries came back in February of this year in the form a 2 AM Arcade, a 12 track effort outfitted with only twif eatures courtesy of Doobie Newton and AP. The album’s stand out cut arrived in the form of “Super Mario” early on in the tracklisting, and it’s clear to see that he’s maintaining the general theme around gaming as he gets ready to step into Super Sega.

It was in 2012 that Pries found a prominent push with the release of his No Glue 2 mixtape, home to features from the likes of Kid Ink, a frequent collaborator at the time.

It was during this time that Pries' content saw its most consistnet run as far as frequency goes. Nonetheless, in his ever-evolving catalog, the 27-year old artist has always proven his ability to cointously tailor his sound to the times without sacrificing his art as he continues to grow his audience and reach.
