Klay Thompson Doppelganger Accused Of Robbing Banks In Cali

Klay Thompson signed signed a 10-year extension with Chinese sportswear brand Anta this offseason that could be worth up to $80 million, which dwarfs the $3 million annually he was previously receiving from Anta. Not to mention, a base salary of $17,826,150 with the Golden State Warriors in the upcoming 2017-18 season and another $18,988,725 in 2018-19 before he becomes a highly sought after unrestricted free agent.

Needless to say, the two-time NBA champion is not exactly hurting for cash right now and he surely doesn't need to be robbing banks in California. Although, recent photos of a bank robbery suspect, who bears a striking resemblance to the Warriors' sharp shooting guard, will have you thinking otherwise.

ABC7 sent out the following tweet on Monday night which contains images of the suspect who is accused of robbing two banks in as many days in two Orange County cities.

Per ABC7,

"On Thursday, the suspect demanded cash from a teller at a U.S. Bank inside an Albertsons in Costa Mesa, police said.

The next day, the same suspect allegedly robbed another U.S. Bank inside a Ralphs in Aliso Viejo.

Both robberies happened around 7 p.m. No one was injured.

Not long after photos of the suspect were posted, social media quickly picked up on his likeness to Klay Thompson and began replying to the original tweet with several images of Klay, urging him to turn himself in.
