6lack has some heat for his fans coming next week.

6lack is nearly two years removed from the release of his last project, East Atlanta Love Letter. He's surprisingly been more active in engaging with the world and his fans, especially in recent times. As protests erupted across America in the wake of George Floyd's death, 6lack issued a message to the world before releasing "ATL Freestyle" regarding the recent murders of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor. "I know a great amount of us feel helpless and confused about what to do but all we can do is lend help to others in need right now. Show up for each other," he wrote.

Though a large amount of his focus since then has been towards the protests and injustices across America, he did bless fans with some good news. With his birthday just around the corner, he revealed that he has a six-track EP on the way. Sharing a screenshot of a conversation where he revealed that he'll be releasing six tracks in celebration of his birthday, he captioned the post, "mailing y’all a present for my birthday."
