A few weeks ago, an altercation between Tekashi 6ix9ine's crew and music executive Elliot Grange's bodyguards took place at an NYC diner following the "GUMMO" rapper's sentencing in his child sex case. The altercation left one man shot. While police have said that Tekashi 6ix9ine wasn't involved in the scenario, the rapper's manager Shottie turned himself into authorities yesterday. A grand jury indicted Shottie on first-degree and second-degree assault charges.
According to TMZ, Shottie has been officially charged with felony gang assault and weapon possession for allegedly hitting one of Grainge's bodyguards in the head with a chair. Witnesses stated that Shottie was the person who escalated the tension between 6ix9ine's crew and Grainge's security team before shots were fired.
Police believe Shottie was among three men linked to Tekashi who began getting violent and hit Grainge's security with a chair. Eyewitnesses told police that they heard 6ix9ine's manager utter threats. He allegedly said, "I'm going to violate you both with gunshots."
One of 6ix9ine's affiliates, who has yet to be identified, was hit in the gut. Shottie allegedly left the scene immediately while two other 6ix9ine affiliates were arrested.
Despite the accusations of his involvement, Shottie's attorney stated that his client wasn't involved in any crimes and said that charges would be dropped.
