A few days ago, it was reported that Kifano "Shotti" Jordan would be looking for a new lawyer. His attorney had requested to be removed from his counsel after he was promised payment. After getting in touch with Shotti's family, he was never paid for his initial appearance in court and the lawyer decided to skip out while he still could. It only took a few days but Shotti has already found himself a new representative who will try his best to get him out of jail in his upcoming racketeering trial.
Shotti is Tekashi 6ix9ine's former manager who was also busted in the firearms and racketeering case. Attorney Scott Leemon had requested to be removed from Shotti's legal team and now, it's being reported that his wish has been finalized. According to Complex, new court documents state that Leemon has been replaced with James Roth, another lawyer that was present during Jordan's initial court appearance.
It is written: "Government counsel is directed to notify Mr. Roth forthwith of this appointment and to advise him of the next scheduled conference in this case (January 22, 2019). Accordingly, Mr. Leemon is relieved as counsel."
6ix9ine's trial is set to begin in September 2019. Do you think he and Shotti have a chance at making it out of prison?
