Kodak Black continues to handle his business behind bars. He recently settled a contract dispute with Dollaz and Dealz Entertainment, the first label he signed to in 2013, reports Bossip.
The South Florida rapper sued Dollaz and Dealz for a breach of contract in December. He claimed that the label -- whose roster he joined when he was just 16 -- had deceived him into signing without a lawyer present.
He also alleged that Dollaz and Dealz failed to meet certain financial obligations that were stipulated in the contract, and he noted that the company's CEO, AC Julien, has been incarcerated for some time now and thus hasn't been able to maintain the management services that were promised.
The breach of contract lawsuit has now been settled out of court, causing the judge to throw out the case.
Kodak signed to Atlantic Records in late 2015. It's unclear if he currently has any ties with Dollaz and Dealz after their recent settlement.
The 19-year-old artist is also currently pursuing legal action for joint custody of his two-year-old son. He plans to release his debut album, Painting Pictures, on Friday, March 31. His latest single, "Tunnel Vision," is currently the No. 6 song in the country.
