Following the news of Baby Face Killa's release date, Freddie Gibbs has some more exciting news to share with fans.
Gibbs has started his own label, ESGN, partnering with San Franciso imprint Empire Distribution. Empire plans to handle the promotion, marketing and distribution aspect of ESGN.
Gangsta Gibbs shared a few words about his newly launched label, saying, "ESGN is me. If you’re in it, you know what it’s all about," he continued, explaining the label was the "full embodiment of what I represent: music, film, fashion and more."
On why he went with Empire Distribution, Gibbs said, "I decided to partner up with Empire Distribution because I like the way they rock. They make things simple and I like keeping things simple. They allow me to do what I gotta do and help me expand my reach through their various relationships."
ESGN's first release will be Gibbs' own project, Baby Face Killa, dropping on September 25th. A free version of the DJ Drama-hosted tape will be released, as well as a deluxe iTunes version that will come with bonus materials.
