Nike "Air Max Day" is coming up next month and in celebration of The Swoosh's very own holiday, they'll be releasing a plethora of classic silhouettes, as well as the new Air VaporMax, all of which feature the iconic Nike Air.
The cushioning was first introduced 40 years ago, but 1987 is when Nike debuted the first AirMax sneaker with a visible air unit. Those visible air bags will be more prominent than ever when Nike introduces the Air VaporMax in March.
In accordance with that release, Nike has released a video which gives a look inside Nike's Air Manufacturing Innovation building located at their Beaverton, Oregon HQ, one of two such buildings in the U.S. where these Air units are produced.
Of course, all of us sneaker lovers would love a more in-depth video detailing the process, but this is still a cool glimpse behind the curtain.
