Verse Simmonds gets Ty Dolla $ign for his latest single.

Verse Simmonds is arguably one of the hottest songwriters in the game. For years, he's been penning some of your favorite songs but has been laying in the background, waiting for his time to step into the limelight. That seems like it'll be changing in the near future. The singer's been working on his second album. However, he hasn't made much mention of when it'll be dropping. It seems like it'll be inching to us in the near future as he just dropped the first single off of it.

Verse Simmonds unleashes the monstrous single "Murder Charge" featuring fellow Californian, Ty Dolla $ign. The two of them get together over the production of Honorable C.N.O.T.E. It's an interesting collaboration that meshes their sultry R&B voices with some hard hitting trap production. It's a club anthem that's meant to trigger some twerking in the club. Both Simmonds and Ty go back and forth on the verse and the hook as they spot the baddest girl in the club. It's a record that has Simmonds showcasing his abilities as not only a writer but as an artist as well. It's a solid collaboration between the two.

Simmonds has been on a roll throughout 2017. Most recently, he popped up on Meek Mill Wins & Losses album on the "Open" joint. While the album was filled with star-studded appearances, Simmonds held his own down for the stand-out track from the record. Along with that, he also grabbed Pitbull, Akon and Ayo Jay for "In My Feelings" remix this past summer. He's been dropping some pretty heavy singles, so he's definitely got some work in the cut you should keep an eye out for.

Quotable Lyrics
I walk around with a cheque on my neck
I took your bitch, and you can't get her back
I'm not the type of dog chasing a cat
I guess I'm just too lazy for that
