Although Kendrick Lamar only recently released good kid, m.A.A.d city, fans are already fiending for new content from the Compton emcee. A project between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar has been talked about for awhile, and Kendrick had said he would focus on it after releasing his debut album. Well, that time seems to have come, but don't expect a release date to ever be set for the project.
While talking to the L.A. Leakers, he reveals he's not planning to set any specific date for their collaborative work, "We gon' drop that out [of] the sky though, I ain't gon' give no dates or no nothing. Just gon' let it fall," Kendrick Lamar says of the project with Cole. Fans got a taste of it on K. Dot's free release "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)."
Kendrick Lamar continues to share his top three most influential songs from Compton with the LA Leakers, "Of course, 'Straight Outta Compton,' umm..'Sweet Black Pussy,' DJ Quik, 'Straight Up Menace,'" Kendrick lists.
