Lonzo Ball is catching significant flak for a comment he made during the most recent episode of "Ball in the Family." “That’s not gonna happen,” he told a man behind the camera. “Y’all outdated, man. Don’t nobody listen to Nas anymore […] Real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”
Ball incurred the wrath of Lil B, who and issued a formal warning and tweeted that Ball was "a few seconds from being cursed." If Ball isn't careful he'll become the second rookie Laker point guard to be on the receiving end of the vaunted Based God curse in as many years.
T.I. also joined the ranks of the angry Twitter mob, as did Anthony Saleh, the music industry veteran who represents both Nas and Future. According to Saleh, Nas has never even heard of Lonzo Ball. “Nas has never heard of you and Future thanks you for your support,” Saleh wrote. "That Oatmeal face nigga thinks he can gain off my guys name before winning a game. I don’t care what team you play for. Family first.”
Ball was previously dragged on Twitter for positing a Top 5 of Lil Wayne, Future, DMX, 50 Cent, and 2Pac and claiming that Jay Z's new album 4:44 pales in comparison to 21 Savage's Issa. He recently had the opportunity to meet the "Bank Account" rapper.
