Thouxanbanfauni comes through with his latest mixtape, "The EXFILES."

There's layers to Atlanta's music scene in a lot of ways. While you have people like Gucci Mane, Migos, Future, Young Thug and more that are leading the wave of what the mainstream perceives of trap music and Atlanta, there are other individual coming out of the scene like Father, UNOTHEACTIVIST, 24hrs and others that don't conform to the direct trends that are coming out of their city. Among the underground artists that flourish in ATL is Thouxanbanfauni. The rapper's closely associated with Uno The Activist and Playboi Carti. While he was born in Chattanooga, TN, he was still raised in Atlanta. Earlier in the year, he dropped his 13-track project Heavy Weight Champ on Soundcloud and later removed it. However, the tape proved to be a cult fan favorite as his fans scoured the internet to find whatever remnants of the project they could. Most recently, he came through with his second release of the year, The EXFILES.

The EXFILES is the latest project from Thouxanbanfauni. Over 16 tracks, Thouxanbanfauni puts together a blend of vulnerable, heavy bangers into one whole project. For the most part, he holds down the majority of the project on his own. He links up with his frequent collaborator Uno The Activist as well as SwagHollywood for "Misleading." He also gets 2GramCam for "Miss Me." Thouxan also brings a slew of notable producers on the project. 16YROLD and BigHead make appearances as well as BrentRambo, Staccato, Tha Architectz, MartianOnThaBeat, Ric LaFlare and many more. It's a solid effort from Fauni and incredible introduction to his music if you're not familiar with it already. It's an honest project from Fauni who puts his heart on his sleeve throughout it all.
