YoungBoy Never Broke Again has released his new mixtape Ain't Too Long exclusively on YouTube. Working primarily with his close collaborator Dubba-AA, as well as Louie Bandz, Mike Laury, DVS, and DJ Swift, the Baton Rouge rapper has shared an eight-song collection, including the recently relased single "Confidential."
The 17-year-old rapper handles the project entirely solo, though he has earned some respectable co-signs. In our recent On The Come-Up interview with YoungBoy, he spoke of the phonecalls he received from 21 Savage while he was incarcerated earlier this year. "Yeah, I spoke with him [21 Savage]," he said. "He was on the Hi Horse'd Tour... He was ready for me to come home."
As a New Orleans native, YoungBoy has also been given advice by one of the city's most relevant voices, Kevin Gates. "He was fuckin' with what I was doin' and shit like that. He was like 'Don't Stop'," YoungBoy recalled. "Literally, I say about one minute later I was gettin' signed. It made me feel like he had pointed [Atlantic Records] in my direction like 'Ay watch that dude' or something."
NBA shared his AI YoungBoy project in August, which stands as one of 2017's strongest releases. The tape features guest appearances from Yo Gotti and Peewee Longway. Prior to that, YoungBoy released a Reloaded version of his Mind Of A Menace mixtape. You can stream the full project here. Earlier this week, the rapper teamed with Plies on the track "Check Callin."
No word on whether or not the project will be released across major streaming services anytime soon. Until then, the YouTube playlist is all we have.
