Jordan Brand will be introducing the Air Jordan 32 in the coming months but teaser images and leaked photos have already surfaced revealing a show that draws on inspiration from the Air Jordan 2.
For the Air Jordan 31, Jordan Brand went back to the sneaker that started it all, offering a modernized take on the Air Jordan 1, so it's not a total shock that they're paying homage to the Air Jordan 2 for the Air Jordan 32.
Teaser images of the Air Jordan 32 revealed the familiar Wings logo on the tongue, python-textured paneling, and the ribbed heel, all of which are key design elements of Michael Jordan's second signature shoe. Today, the first full image of the Air Jordan 32 has surfaced showcasing the combination of engineered Flyknit and premium leather materials on the upper.
The latest addition to the ever growing Air Jordan line is expected to launch in October, which means an official unveiling event should be right around the corner. The first colorway of the Air Jordan 32 is rumored to hit retailers in the traditional black and red colorway for the retail price of $185.
Dubbed "MJ Day," the black and red Air Jordan 32 is scheduled to drop on October 18th, commemorating the anniversary of the day that MJ allegedly first violated the NBA's sneaker policy in 1984.
The official colorway, style #, release date and retail price are reportedly as follows, per Sole Collector,
Air Jordan XXX2 "MJ Day"
Release Date: 10/18/17
Color: Black/University Red
Style #: AA1253-001
Price: $185
Last year, Jordan Brand and Russell Westbrook teamed up to formally introduce the Air Jordan 31. It's unclear if he'll be the face of the Air Jordan 32 as well or if they'll tap into another member of their star-studded roster such as Kawhi Leonard, Blake Griffin or Jimmy Butler. Carmelo Anthony was recently spotted in what appeared to be an all-black colorway of the AJ32, though he's already got his own signature line to worry about.
