Report says Fultz considered signing with BBB.

Markelle Fultz, the projected #1 overall pick in the June 22nd NBA Draft, inked a sneaker endorsement deal with Nike late last week, but it certainly wasn't the only offer on the table for the 19-year old star point guard.

In fact, Fultz was even considering signing with LaVar Ball's Big Baller Brand, according to a report by the Washington Post.

An article written by Cindy Boren and Kent Babb of the Washington Post detailed a conversation between the projected #1 overall pick and his trainer, Keith Williams, wherein Fultz said,

"I was thinking about it, but then I would make him money, though," regarding the Big Baller Brand.

His trainer replied, "I don't think they've got money to sign nobody."

In Babb and Boren's article, they noted how Fultz signing with Nike was a blow to Under Armour, whose headquarters are in Baltimore, Maryland, nearby Washington D.C. where Fultz is from. Furthermore, the UW star played for an AAU team affiliated with Under Armour which had some believing he'd sign a deal with UA.

Of course, Markelle ultimately joined former Kentucky guard De'Aaron Fox as part of Nike's incoming rookie class.
