"My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions," Sukihana said in response to YK Osiris's apology message.

Sukihana’s accepted YK Osiris's apology after he forced himself on her in a viral clip earlier this week. After deactivating her social media accounts, the “Eating” rapper issued a statement on Friday morning (June 16) where she explained why she chose to “give grace” to the “Worth It” singer. She explained that Osiris reached out to her publicly and privately after the incident to apologize for his actions, although she insisted she was not excusing his actions. “God always forgives me and I can always forgive others,” she began.

She continued, “My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions. This is Destiny choosing to give grace to Osiris.” Suki explained that YK’s young and she hopes that this becomes a learning experience to “be mindful and respect the personal boundaries of others.” Sukihana added, “I am human, a woman, a mother, and a daughter before I am an entertainer. No matter what my lyrics express, I still have boundaries and a right to have them.”

Sukihana Speaks Out After YK Osiris Apology

In the caption, Sukihana added, “I am a pro black woman and I am not into tearing black men down. This is something I am choosing to forgive him for. I love him and accept his apology. I would like to move on from this.” Her comments came shortly after her mother called out YK Osiris for his apology, which she didn’t believe was actually genuine. “Fake a** apology.. When I catch you it’s still up,” she wrote on Instagram.

Earlier this week, YK Osiris was caught on camera forcibly trying to kiss Sukihana at The Crew League. After a flood of negative responses, YK Osiris issued a public apology on Instagram. “I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior,” he wrote. “I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize.” Check out Sukihana’s message above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
