"a Gift & a Curse" drops this Friday.

Yesterday, Gunna confirmed that his new album, "a Gift & a Curse," will be dropping this Friday. Due to the ongoing accusations that Gunna "snitched" on Young Thug during the YSL RICO trial, social media users are having mixed reactions to the album announcement. Some users feel as though his legal drama is too much for them to get past, while most look forward to hearing his latest offering.

"If Gunnaʼs new album slaps Iʼm f***ing with it, how he handles his legal affairs ain’t none of my business," says one Twitter user. Another adds, "[Gunna] dropping a new album Friday take a lot courage to drop when people coming at you from every direction." One user notes, "Gunna about to drop a new album and most people don’t care that he snitched lol he’s that good." Gunna fans are out in full force, eager to cheer on the rapper ahead of the new release. Many of his peers have publicly cut ties with him in the fallout of the accusations, but it seems as though his listeners have stuck by his side.

Social Media Users Look Forward To New Gunna

"Imagine Gunna’s new album going number 1, Boosie gone be so mad," a Twitter user points out. Boosie Badazz has been very vocal with his opinions on Gunna's legal affairs as of late. He's labeled the rapper a "rat," and has spoken out against him various times on social media and in interviews. He even went so far as to say that he hopes his career flops. “I don’t want no rat to excel. I hope he never sell a record again," he said last month. Lil Durk also shared his thoughts on the situation, claiming that Gunna "should have went in there and kept [his] mouth closed." Several other artists have accused Gunna of being a "snitch."

Earlier this month, Gunna released his new track "bread & butter," where he seemingly addressed the "snitching" allegations. Some listeners also suspected that he called out Lil Durk and Lil Baby on the song, which he later denied. The song has ultimately done well, and left fans wanting more Gunna. He's also teased some new music recently, further building hype around the upcoming LP.
