The suit alleges the caused massive damage with a firehose on set.

Rubi Rose is the most recent rapper to get herself into legal trouble. In this particular instance, she's being sued by an artist who says her studio was damaged during a music video shoot. Rubi released her song "TWORK" in 2021 and its racked up over 3 million Spotify streams since then. The song's music video features a number of dancers and an entire firetruck, which is where she got into some trouble. According to TMZ, the suit alleges that the truck's high-pressure fire hose caused damage to both the building itself and a number of valuable artworks.

Rubi Rose isn't the only person labeled in the suit. Music video directors Jay and Georgio Rodriguez and Rubi's label HitCo are all also involved. Also named in the suit is Hollywood Fire Authority, a company that rents out firefighter equipment. The suit alleges that Rose and company weren't properly trained to use the equipment, which resulted in damages amounting to more than six figures. Saban's suit claims to have undeniable proof of her damages and she's asking for over $300k as a result.

Rubi Rose has already appeared on two songs this year, both remixed. Both tracks "Nope" and "No Clappin'" feature her alongside a number of other female rappers. She hasn't released a full-length project since 2020's In The Streets. Most recently, Rubi Rose was used as a point of comparison by many when Travis Barker's teenage daughter Alabama previewed her new rap music. She also delt with dating rumors earlier this year that linked her to rapper French Montana.

Just last week rapper Vanilla Ice found out he was subject to a lawsuit of his own. He's being taken to court by an ex-girlfriend who claims she's owed a paternity test and child support from the "Ice Ice Baby" rapper. In more positive news, Jay-Z recently received a $6.8 million settlement in his favor. As a result of the ruling, Parlux had to pay the rapper millions in previously unpaid royalties.
