Boosie Badazz says Pimp C once helped him when he was in jail.

Boosie Badazz says that Pimp C once pulled some strings to help get him out of jail as a teenager. He reflected on his relationship with the late legendary rapper during a recent interview on Sway’s Universe. Boosie says that he was booked for stealing a car.

“I was 17. I was in jail on a.. stolen car charge. I had to remain for 90 days and he came and got me out of jail,” Boosie explained during the interview. He noted that he didn’t have any relation to the late rapper.

Boosie continued: “I called my mama and my mama like, ‘some guy named Pimp C and these boys they’re trying to get you out of jail boy, you know Pimp C?’ I’m like ‘yeah, I know Pimp C!’ A couple days later, I don’t know they pulled some strings and got me out of there. I did like sixty-something days they got me out and the rest is history.”

From there, he says he and Pimp C became close. "We went and rode around, ate, smoked some weed. Chilled out, talked to me," he said. "Went in the studio, made a couple songs… the whole point about it is Pimp C was the decoy. I thought I was signing to Pimp C, I thought he was the CEO by him being so tight with them I thought he was the big dog cause it was Trill Entertainment. Trill is Pimp C, so I come to find out he wasn’t in the paperwork but I thought he was my CEO the whole time.” Boosie ended up signing with Pimp’s Trill Entertainment in 2001.

Boosie Discusses Pimp C

Later, Boosie discussed the legacy of Pimp C as a whole. “Pimp C was real. Pimp C was so talented bro,” Boosie said. “All that singing you hear on them songs. That’s Pimp C, that ain’t no woman. That’s Pimp C that’s not no woman. Pimp C was a talent bro, an outspoken talent. If Pimp C was here right now we’d be beefing with everybody.”
