BlocBoy JB says he's one of the best rappers in the world.

BlocBoy JB says that he is one of the "best rappers in the world," along with Eminem, Drake, and J. Cole. The "Look Alive" rapper made the claim in a post on his Instagram Story, Saturday.

"I'm One Of The Best Rappers In The World Y'all Just [Sleep Emoji]," he wrote over a black screen. "Bar 4 Bar only n***a up der wit me is @eminem @champagnepapi @realcoleworld."

When the story was reposted by DJ Akademiks on Instagram, fans almost universally disagreed with BlocBoy. "I’ve never seen clout chasing like this before bro is really going out sad = HE BROKE," one wrote. Another commented: "I know a n***a from down the st with more bars then this n***a." Others in disagreement still defended BlocBoy from criticism: "I ain't even mad at bro.. That's how you're suppose to feel about your music."

Despite his own inclusion in the list, J. Cole, Eminem, and Drake are popular picks for the title of the best rapper in the world. Earlier this year, Billboard selected all three of them for its "50 Greatest Rappers of All Time" list. Cole landed at number 15, while Drake went number eight and Eminem ranked at number five.

BlocBoy JB On His Place In Hip-Hop

Outside of music, BlocBoy JB recently made headlines for coming to the defense of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant. In a post on Instagram, he sided with Morant after the NBA star brandished a firearm on social media. “Guns are not illegal,” he wrote at the time. “If he turnt in his car with his gun dats in his name in his yard and somebody recorded him dat ain’t on him. Free Ja.” Adam Silver has said the NBA will make a decision on his suspension after the Finals.
