Moneybagg Yo is making big claims about his worth. The rapper has refuted his reported net worth of $4 million on Google. Furthermore, he claims that he earns nearly $200,000 per show. During an interview on the Complex show 360 With Speedy Morgan, the Memphis artist expressed his disagreement with the Google estimation. He questioned the basis on which net worth is calculated. He then indicated that it may be derived from taxable income. Moneybagg Yo confidently stated that he made more than $4 million last year. As evidence, he cited a specific instance where he received $200,000 for a single performance.
"I made way more than that last year,” Moneybagg said. “For one performance, I got $200,000 before. This when I first went up and was like, ‘$200,000 a show, it’s what it is.’ Ya’ll set the standard. I’m still a hustler, I’m a street n*gga at the end of the day so I understand business, too. So it’s like, everybody ain’t got the $200,000. I ain’t going no less than $150,000. We’re going to make it happen.” Whether or not Moneybagg's claims are true, it wouldn't be surprising. There are likely many off-the-books payments in the industry. However, the rapper didn't want to give too much information on the matter. You can see the interview below.
Moneybagg Opens Up About His Relationship With Ari Fletcher
In recent interviews, Moneybagg Yo has been open about his personal journey as a musician and in his relationships. He admitted to cheating on Ari Fletcher, his partner. However, he also expressed his commitment to making amends. In a discussion with Angie Martinez on her IRL podcast, he acknowledged his mistakes and poor decisions. Bagg attributed them to his upbringing and environment in Memphis. He went on to describe the relationship as new and challenging. Still, he emphasized that he deeply values Fletcher's support and understanding. Moneybagg Yo apologized sincerely and expressed gratitude for her willingness to work through the difficulties they faced.
"It’s so new to me. It’s a big transition so of course I made some mistakes," Moneybagg said. "You already know what I’m getting at with that. She ain’t take that well." The rapper is referring to the cheating, of course. "I really come from a pure place when I say that. I apologized and I just wanted to work through it and get through it and she wit it and she helping me work through it," he continued. "That’s why I rock with her so tough because it’s like … when I broke it all the way down to her, she understood me fully.” It sounds like, even with mistakes made, Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher have a healthy and communicative relationship.
