Bronny James is one of the most-anticipated college players heading into the 2023/24 season. Ranked by ESPN as the #19 prospect of the 2023 class, James combines both talent and the name brand of being LeBron James' son. After a months-long recruiting battle, James committed to USC alongside #1 recruit Isaiah Collier. That has reignited faith in a Trojans program that has stagnated in recent years.
USC has gone all-in on their best recruiting class in years. A price hike on tickets and a pre-season tour of Europe are both things being implemented ahead of their NCAA debut. With Collier and James on board, USC could see their first Final Four appearance since the 1950s. Speaking of that debut, USC has now revealed the team that Bronny and co. will be opening the season against.
USC To Face Kansas State In Las Vegas
First reported by CBS' John Rothstein, multiple sources have confirmed that Bronny will make his college debut at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a November 6 matchup against Kansas State. Oregon versus Georgia will serve as a double-header matchup. It's unclear whether this is part of a preseason tournament or a special headline season-opener. The matchup against Kansas State is the only fixture Rothstein announced. Bronny's debut at the Galen Center is yet to be announced. Furthermore, a full schedule release is yet to be announced.

Kansas State went 26-10 last season, earning a three-seed in the NCAA Tournament. In a chaotic tournament, they reached the Elite Eight before falling to Florida Atlantic 79-76. USC and Kansas State would have met in the Sweet 16. However, ten-seed USC crashed out in the first round against Michigan State. The two teams have only ever met once previously, an 80-67 win for Kansas State in the first round of March Madness 2008. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.
