Scar Lip recently credited supporters like Cardi B and Boosie for her success.

Scar Lip recently signed to Epic Records, according to photos circulating online. One photo shows the rapper posing alongside a sign that reads, "Epic welcomes Scar Lip." She now joins other artists on their roster like 21 Savage, Future, Travis Scott, and more. The young MC also joins Swizz Beatz on the lineup, who recently said he felt his mentee was "sent" to him by the late DMX.

“I honestly feel like DMX sent Scar Lip my way because she’s too much of his energy,” Swizz told The Breakfast Club. “Like I’ve never seen an artist that just naturally have what I know DMX have. And they two different artists, two different levels, yes. But I’m not talking about that. You know, like, that sister’s been through a lot, like Dog been through a lot." He added, "she’s amazing and [has] a great heart the same way X had a great heart.”

Scar Lip's Rise To Success

Swizz isn't the only artist who's publicly endorsed the "Glizzy Gobbler" rapper. Several of her peers have also shown their support in recent months, including Cardi B, Boosie Badazz, and even Shaquille O'Neal. Snoop Dogg also recently collaborated with her on a remix of "This is New York," dubbed, "This is Cali."

Scar Lip recently appeared on VladTV, where she credited her famous supporters for her success. She told DJ Vlad that when Cardi B shared her song on social media, she "couldn’t believe that." The young rapper added, “that post changed my life," saying, "I love her so much.” She continued, telling the DJ, “She started from the bottom and raised her way to the top, [and] anybody that feels a way about that…you’re just weird. Everybody starts from the bottom. How could you not be inspired?” She also mentioned, "When Boosie reposted me, it felt like I had a shot." She continued, “That’s when motion started coming in. His push, [and] his co-sign, got me a lot of press…that shit helped my career a lot.”
