Car shows have been a hot topic of conversation in hip-hop as of late, with DJ Envy hosting his in honour of Young Dolph this past weekend, and Rick Ross planning his for this Saturday (June 3) at his Promise Land estate in Georgia. The two figures have been trading shots on social media over the past few days, with things becoming increasingly personal. Earlier today, MMG artist Gunplay even posted a video of him and Envy on the phone, at which time The Breakfast Club host attempted to apologize to him for the slander, though the rapper didn't want to hear it.
By now, the New Yorker is accustomed to the hate, so it was certainly nice to see a positive response from Gillie Da Kid on Sunday (May 28). In an Instagram post, the media personality showed off his vintage 1974 Corvette, which he said he'd be more than happy to show off at Envy's next car show. "Bring that baby back to life. Muthaf*cka was filthy. 1974 ya know what I mean? With that 383 Stroke in it. DJ Envy next time you have a car show let me know, man. Me and Wallo come f*ck your joint up. All original too," Gillie said from behind the camera.

While he wasn't tagged in the video, Envy still got the message and dropped by the comments to share his thoughts. "I think it’s time…. Let’s do something in Philly," the father of two wrote back. Seeing as Gillie and Ross have long-spanning beef it's not surprising to see the former taking his competitor's side in the car show face-off.
Elsewhere in the comments, the "Get Down On The Ground" artist received praise from both Curren$y and Lil Duval. The latter admitted that, while he's not usually a fan of the specific model, he's impressed with what GDK has done with his project. What are your thoughts on Gillie Da Kid's 1974 Corvette?
