He continued: “Today, the Maison remains faithful to the spirit of its founder, Louis Vuitton, who invented a genuine ‘Art of Travel’ through luggage, bags and accessories which were as creative as they were elegant and practical.” Prior to being at Louis Vuitton, Pharrell worked with Nigo to create the streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in the early 2000s. He also worked with Adidas on numerous occasions as well as several other brands.

Louis Vuitton announced Pharrell as its new Men’s Head Designer back in February, earlier this year. In accepting the role, he became the first in the position since Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November 2021. Following the brand's announcement, they wrote in a statement: “Pharrell Williams is a visionary whose creative universes expand from music to art, and to fashion – establishing himself as a cultural global icon over the past twenty years. The way in which he breaks boundaries across the various worlds he explores, aligns with Louis Vuitton’s status as a Cultural Maison, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneer spirit, and entrepreneurship.” Many voices in hip-hop celebrated the feat including Pusha T, Jim Jones, as well as Juelz Santana, and more. Be on the lookout for Pharrell's debut collection for Louis Vuitton on June 20.
