Doja Cat recently opened up about the cause of her indecision when it comes to the title of her upcoming album. In an interview with Insider, she cited her ADHD as a contributing factor, and revealed that she's been sharing potential names with her social media followers to get feedback. Recently, Doja took to Twitter to reveal what fans thought was the title of her upcoming album. Initially dubbed "Hellmouth," she later revealed that she had changed her mind.
"It's not called hEllMoUth either it's called 'First of All,'" she Tweeted to fans. She added, "And yes I'm announcing the album title right now." She later deleted the Tweet, sharing another that read, "lol my album name isn't first of all I'm changing it." Her most recent Tweet has now been deleted also.
Doja Says She's Settled On A Title
When asked how she comes up with her album titles, Doja replied, "Good God. I don't know." She continued, "I put my ADHD kind of on display — by accident, I guess." Revealing, "I thought that 'Hellmouth' was the name of the album, but then it wasn't. But I'm good at doing things last minute. So I've been firing off random stuff and reading comments and seeing how people receive it and then, you know, saying 'no' a lot. 'Just kidding.'" She continued, revealing that she thinks she might have settled on something for good this time. "I do think that I finally have a title," she claims, "It's not 'First of All.'"
Earlier this month, Doja Cat shared a snippet of her upcoming album during an Instagram Live. She gave fans a short preview of each song on the new LP. Doja also recently received some heat on social media for calling her fanbase "dumb." When a Twitter user replied to her Tweet claiming “I’m low-key handsome, it’s crazy,” she fired back. The user told Doja Cat that she would “never be funny,” to which she responded with a dig. “How’s that debut single going?,” Doja wrote. After some back-and-forth between her and fans, one user wrote “Everyone is mad because you are calling your fans dumb.” Doja responded, writing, “…….are they not?” She received backlash, with one user telling her, “Your behavior is not doing what you think it’s doing.”
