XXXTentacion is someone who has become a legendary figure in the music world. Although, his standing in the music world is certainly controversial. Throughout his young career, he was hit with allegations of abuse. Consequently, there are many who refuse to listen to his music. Overall, it is easy to see why people would feel this way. However, it would be disingenuous not to point out that he also has millions of fans. Unfortunately, any mention of his alleged transgressions will subsequently lead to an angry mob of these same fans coming after you.
With that being said, XXXTentacion's estate is still preoccupied with coming out with new tracks every now and then. Although some people are upset about posthumous music, it still keeps happening with X. However, the latest release to come from the deceased artist is not a new album or a new song. In fact, it is a song from 2015 that had just never hit streaming before. Of course, we are talking about "let's pretend we're numb."
XXXTentacion Pours His Heart Out
Overall, this is yet another XXXTentacion track in which he truly puts his thoughts, feelings, and emotions on full display. The young artist had a range of styles. Sometimes, he could go into a full-on hardcore punk cadence, while other times he would sing. However, on this track, he just dropped bars, almost as if it we're a freestyle. Not to mention, at barely 90 seconds in length, this was yet another short cut from the artist.
For now, there doesn't seem to be any plans for more posthumous releases. In the eyes of some fans, that is probably a good thing. Either way, you can now enjoy this old track on your favorite streaming service. Let us know what you think of "let's pretend we're numb," in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics:
Captivated by your mind and your walk too
Can't replace you with these bitches that I talk to
This ain't lust, it's love, we had trust, what's good?
I should've held you close, should've kept you warm
