Taking to Twitter, R&B rising sensation, The Weeknd confirms that he is working on an album to be released in 2013.

The Weeknd made a huge name for himself after dropping three consecutive mixtapes in 2011.  After a co-sign from fellow Torontonian, Drake, the soulful artist blew up.  In 2012 he focused on touring, and working on his studio album, and dropping an anthology of his mixtapes, Trilogy, which sold surprisingly well for previously released material.   Now Abel Tesfaye confirms a full length album is in the works.

The XO artist took to Twitter and teased fans with a screenshot of a folder containing the new material simply titled “2013 untitled album” along with “2013 art work”.

Obviously, as of yet details are scarce, but fans should expect a studio album from The Weeknd in the not too distant future, and if sales of Trilogy are any indication, you can expect the LP to move units.
