Rick Ross won't take no for an answer. As the Biggest Boss has been busy preparing for his upcoming annual car and bike show, his plans have been hit with a major roadblock. Documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (May 16) reveal that his permit has been denied by Fayette County, who are prohibiting him from hosting the event at his Georgia mansion on June 3. The specific reason for the denial is that the permit "is not in compliance with Fayette County Zoning Ordinance."
"Any decision to allow the 2022 event to move forward as a conditional use in the A-R Zoning District was made outside of the scope of authority of the then acting Director of Planning & Zoning/ Zoning Administrator," the document further states. Ross has been talking about the event non-stop (particularly during his recent Drink Champs interview) and clearly isn't letting the bureaucratic rain ruin his parade. He took to his Instagram Story this afternoon, letting fans know he has no plans of cancelling.
Rick Ross Responds to Denied Event Permit
"Breaking news, the Rick Ross Car Show June 3 goes on," the Richer Than I Ever Been artist declared hours ago. "It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets are still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville." Rather than letting the denial get him down, the Mississippi-born lyricist is embracing the challenges coming his way as he moves forward.
"This when I become great during the challenges. That’s what I like. That’s why I was always one to initiate certain things because I love the challenge. I don’t have a problem going against the challenges because Ricky Rozay ready. Is it really a challenge?" he asked followers tuning in. Do you think that Rick Ross' annual car and bike show will be shut down by police if he fails to get a permit by next month?
