"Austin" is due July 28th, whereas another single "Mourning" is set to drop this Friday, May 19.

Posty season is now in full effect. Moreover, Post Malone just took to Instagram to share a candid video with fans, which contained a special announcement. His next album Austin is set to release this summer on July 28. Not only that, but the artist also let fans know that his next single "Mourning" is scheduled for release this Friday, May 19. In his message, the 27-year-old hinted at a different artistic direction for his next endeavor. His last album Twelve Carat Toothache and previous projects already dabbled with that, so it'll be exciting to see how much farther he goes.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Post Malone began his Instagram video. "It's Posty. I wanted to say that I love you guys so very f***in' much. I'm here on tour in Europe right now. And I wanted to tell you guys that I have an album coming out this summer on July 28th. It's called 'Austin,' like my name. That is my name. It's been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music for me, at least.

Post Malone's Announcement

"You know, trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff," Post Malone continued. "I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience. I'm super, super excited to share it with you. 'Chemical' is out and that song is on the record. And then on Friday, I have another song called 'Mourning' with a 'u'... like that. But I'm super excited to get that out for you guys. We just shot a music video in Scotland, it's absolutely stunning up there. There's a big a** ice cube in it which I thought was pretty bada**.

"But I'm super excited for you guys to hear it and I love you guys so very much," he concluded. "You know, I hope you guys just keep f***in' being amazing and keep spreading love and just keep being yourself and I f***in' love y'all, man. Have a great f***in' night, have a great f***in' week, hug your fam, and just keep spreading love. Love you guys!" For more news and the latest updates on Post Malone, return to HNHH.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel treasures the crossover between his native reggaetón and hip-hop news coverage, such as his review for Bad Bunny’s hometown concert in 2024. But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
