50 Cent spoke to Angie Martinez on Hot 97 the other day, and she got the scoop on Fif's single, how he feels about Chris Lighty's passing and more.

50 Cent payed a visit to Angie Martinez on Hot 97, and they discussed a lot of things that have been swirling around the news lately, including his new single "New Day," Chris Lighty's recent death and more.

"Originally the record was recorded for Detox," 50 Cent said of his "New Day" single, which confused many when it was released as it was also advertised as Alicia Keys' single. "It's my record," 50 Cent said. Although it'll be on Alicia Keys' album also, it's not the the exact same song. "It's a different version, it sounds a little similar, but Swizz re-produced the entire track." Although the two may be somewhat sharing a single, Fif doesn't mind, calling it "great."

The passing of Chris Lighty, who was 50 Cent's manager, had a deep affect on the rapper. "I honestly can't wrap my head around the idea of him shooting himself.  I don't have all the information, so I don't wanna say anything other than what's being said publicly, but I don't believe that. Just 'cause of my personal interactions with him, he's just never gave an indication that, that's even possible," Fif continued. "The first thing I see is he owes $5 million and he doesn't owe $5 million, I'm sure he doesn't actually, he owe $300,000. And he wasn't in a hurry to pay."

50 continued to explain about a loan he'd lent Lighty for $1 million, which Lighty had returned to him, and explained how Lighty had took care of most of his bills, so it doesn't make sense.
