If you are a fan of the Nike Air Max 1, then you have very good taste. This is one of Tinker Hatfield's first big hits as a designer at Nike. Although the shoe is almost 40 years old at this point, it is still exceptionally beloved. Overall, it just has a simple yet unique design. Moreover, it introduced the exposed Air Max unit to the world. Hatfield took this design technique from a museum in Europe that was built from the inside out. As far as sneakers go, this technique proved to be very interesting.
Throughout the years, Nike has always tried to give the Nike Air Max 1 some unique colorways. Considering how old the shoe is, you can imagine it is hard to do something like that. However, the brand from Oregon always seems to make it work somehow. For instance, for Air Max Day in March, Nike unveiled some amazing new Air Max 1 models. Now, one of those offerings is finally being released. Below, you can behold the "Escape" colorway.

"Escape" Nike Air Max 1
This is a shoe that pays homage to the beauty of Oregon and its forests. Firstly, the color scheme starts off with some white on the toe box. This extends to the tongue, cuff, and the midsole. Secondly, the upper is covered in some beige suede, with some teal leather mixed in for good measure. On the back heel, we get a graphic of some pine trees, which is where the whole forest aesthetic comes into play. Around the rest of the shoe, we get some navy blue suede which helps bring this all together.
