Billie Eilish is one of the most talented young artists in the entire world right now. Overall, she has sold millions of albums and continues to be huge in the pop landscape. Since bursting onto the scene a few years ago, she has been a fixture at various award shows. Additionally, she has also been able to lend her talents to original songs for movies like James Bond. Needless to say, things are looking very good for Eilish. One could even guess that she will likely be dropping some new music, very soon.
If you know anything about Billie Eilish, then you are probably aware of her talent on the ukulele. The four-string instrument is incredibly popular, and a whole lot of people began learning how to play it during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, Eilish and her ukulele are an iconic duo. Consequently, she even got her very own deal with Fender to sell her own signature model. Now, she is putting those talents to good use with a special ukulele rendition of Drake's "Hotline Bling."
Billie Eilish Changes Drake's Iconic Song Quite A Bit
The cover was posted to her YouTube channel late last night, and it is already making quite an impression on fans. Overall, this version of the song is only one minute in length. Furthermore, it was simply titled "hotline (edit)." The track is extremely atmospheric and it is much slower than the original. There are some nice ukulele chords, as well as some additional strings throughout. Billie Eilish sounds great as well, although her voice has a nice reverb effect to it. If you are a fan of Eilish and you like Drake's original version, then this will be a fun listen.
Having listened to this newly realized version of "Hotline Bling," we wonder what Drake must think about this. The song is completely different now, although it still sounds great. Hopefully, Billie Eilish will drop a full-length version of this song, sometime in the future. Let us know what you think of this track, in the comments section below.
