Rich The Kid's "Cookies & Sherbert" gets very trippy.

Rich The Kid is a stand-out voice among the Atlanta rap scene. He's been working relentlessly since 2013 when he first popped out on the scene and has been continuously dropping dope music. Over the course of the summer, the rapper announced that he has finally penned a deal with Interscope records after quite the label bid. Aside from that, he spent the majority of the summer relatively quiet for the most part with the exception of a few releases here and there. Just last week, he finally released the teased and anticipated single "Cookies & Sherbert" that seems to have fulfilled his fans craving for new music. Today, he unleashes the video for it.

While "Cookies & Sherbert" is a trippy song with stretchy synths and warped sounds provided by Nard & B, it sits behind Rich The Kid's slurred, drug induced flow. While the production alone can you give you some sort of psychedelic experience, the video for it is bound to do the same. Rich The Kid's video for "Cookies & Sherbert" bounces back and forth between third person and first person view. Alongside of that, the post production on the video morphs and stretches out the visuals, coinciding with the production. The rapper is seen flexing with his crew through Times Square in New York City before cutting shots of him in a very trippy trap house with beautiful women, counting money. The video was directed by GoodBoyShady who has also worked with Dom Kennedy in the past as well.

The video for "Cookies & Sherbert" serves as the second release he's dropped this week. Earlier in the week, he released a collaboration alongside OVO Sound's Roy Wood$, "New New." He also has been serving out some features here and there, most notably his appearance on A$AP Ferg's Still Striving project for the song "Mattress Remix." As he drops this video, we're hopeful it may lead to a bigger release in the near future.
