Doja Cat has been having a very good week. Firstly, she was invited to the Met Gala, where she shined with her hilarious outfit. Although, we need to make it clear that Doja looked stunning in her dress. However, the unique part of it all was how she had a cat prosthetic on her face. This was done as a reference to Karl Lagerfeld's infamous cat "Choupette." Overall, people love her reference, and it made for one of the most memorable red carpets in years. Needless to say, she is killing it right now.
Moreover, Doja Cat has been upgrading when it comes to the tattoos she has. Over the last few months, she has been adding to her tattoo collection. However, this has come with some controversy. Some people believe she is worshipping the devil thanks to some of the imagery she has chosen. This is all part of a bizarre "satanic panic" that should have been left in the late 80s and early 90s. With Doja's latest tattoo, she has opened herself up to criticism from those same weirdos.
Doja Cat Shares Her New Ink
As you can see in the Instagram above, she got a bat skeleton tattooed across her back. Overall, the artwork and line work is very impressive. Most rational people can admit that this, is indeed, the case. However, Doja Cat knew some people would have something to say about this. That is why she has come through with an explanation of what a bat tattoo means. "Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new," the explanation reads. "They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning."
A lot of fans seemed to appreciate the explanation. At this point in our culture, these explanations are unfortunately very necessary. Otherwise, people jump off the deep end prematurely.
